About Us

Northern Air began back in June of 1996, when Wayne Bolt opened the doors in Grass Valley with a simple goal: to bring comfort and quality service to his neighbors. About ten years later, the company moved into our current home on Industrial Place, officially becoming Northern Air HVAC, Inc.

Over the years, Wayne built lasting relationships with families and businesses throughout Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties. From homes in Lake of the Pines, Auburn and Grass Valley to businesses in Sacramento, generations of customers have trusted Northern Air to keep them comfortable.

In 2022, Wayne passed the torch to the next generation—his son Alex and son-in-law Andrew—while staying close to the work he loves. Even in semi-retirement, you’ll still find him crafting sheet metal, lending a hand on installations, or sharing his hard-earned wisdom with the team.
